PROJECT OPPORTUNITY
Angel Cook is a DJ with a strong focus on spinning RnB sets. She was a regular on the scene for many years but started to throw her own parties and events rather than waiting for calls from outside promoters. To mark this independent introduction she wanted to create a new simplified mark to represent her brand.
DESIGN CONCEPT
Angel originally shared that her life was made of unique pieces. Her interests, projects and social connections were individual elements that came together to form a distinct perosnal image. She wanted her new logo to be a reflection of this peresonal insght. The logo was a subtle play of figure/ground relationship. Angluar pieces surrounded a floating circle to form the shape of a “9”. Within the largest of the angular pieces I added “AM” for the secondary part of the her dj name.
